What other information you may collect

  • Identification data – IP address, MAC address
  • Client preference data – movement on the website (area, time), preference of products viewed

What data and with whom we share your data

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the password reset email.

When data sharing may occur: You have completed a general service request on our website consisting of comparing, contrasting, selecting quotes for selected services or products, or you have sent us a general service request email. We will register your enquiry and forward it to the appropriate entities for processing the enquiry according to its focus.

Based on what right do you share or collect this data? We are governed by the law on Taking pre-contractual measures.

Thus, at your request, we may collect and transfer the following data.

  • Information you may provide to us in the general enquiry form or in the enquiry email sent to us
  • Preference data – information about previous selections and requests, use of commercial communications

How long we keep your data

If you post a comment, the comment and its metadata will be kept indefinitely. The data is retained for the purpose of automatically recognizing and approving all subsequent comments, rather than holding them in the moderation queue.

For users who register on this site (if they have the option), we also store the personal data they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.

We process clients’ personal data for the period of time that we are required to retain such data under generally binding legislation. We then keep them for the time necessary in case we have to provide evidence in a judicial or administrative proceeding.

Personal data that we process on the basis of your consent is processed for the period for which you have given your consent or until you withdraw your consent.

In accordance with the principle of data minimisation, we always process only the personal data that we strictly need for the purpose and keep it for as long as necessary. Once the time period has elapsed, the personal data is deleted or anonymised.

What are your rights?

If you have an account on this website or have posted comments here, you can request to receive an export file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we remove any personal data we hold about you. This option does not include data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons.

A request, enquiry, exercise of a right or other submission will be processed upon receipt by us without undue delay and within a maximum of 30 days.

The exercise of the rights set out below is free of charge. If your requests would be manifestly unfounded or unreasonable, in particular because they would be repetitive, we may impose a reasonable fee taking into account the administrative costs involved in providing the requested information or communication or in taking the requested action, or refuse to comply with your request.

You have the right to:

1) Access to personal data

If you exercise your right of access to personal data, we will provide you with confirmation as to whether or not we process personal data relating to you and, if so, you will also receive from us an individualized overview of the personal data we process about you. This overview will also be accompanied by information on the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data concerned, the categories of recipients of the personal data and the duration of the processing of the personal data (however, this information is available to you in this document).

2) Correction of personal data

If you believe that the personal data we process about you is incorrect, you can ask us to correct it.

3) Erasure of personal data

If you believe that we are processing your personal data unlawfully, you have the right to ask us to delete it. Please note that in some cases, we cannot delete your personal data even if you ask us to do so (e.g. because we are obliged to process the data on the basis of relevant legislation or because we need it to perform a contract we have entered into with you, etc.).

4) Restrictions on the processing of personal data

If you choose to exercise this right, the processing of the personal data concerned will be temporarily restricted (i.e. not deleted). We will restrict the processing of personal data at your request in the following cases:

  • if you contest the accuracy of the personal data, we will restrict the processing of your personal data until we have decided whether or not it is accurate
  • if we have processed your personal data without a sufficient legal basis but you request a restriction on processing instead of erasure
  • if we no longer need your personal data for the processing purposes set out above in this notice but you require it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; or
  • if you object to the processing of the personal data, in which case we are obliged to restrict the processing of the personal data in question while we evaluate the validity of the objection

5) Objection to the processing of personal data

If the processing is based on a legitimate interest, you may object to such processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please therefore describe this specific situation in your request. We will then assess your request and, unless we can demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests or rights and freedoms or that we need the personal data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, we will not continue to process your personal data for that purpose.

In the event that you object to the processing of your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest for marketing purposes, this objection will be accepted without further ado – in other words, you do not need to provide any evidence or justification for this objection and we will accept it.

6) Portability of personal data

If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent or on the legal basis of the performance of a contract, you can ask us to transfer your personal data. In such a case, we will provide you (or the entity designated by you) with the personal data relating to you that we process on the basis of your consent or on the basis of the performance of a contract, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Please note that our company does not allow the receipt of personal data from other controllers to whom you have instructed to transfer your personal data to us.

7) Withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data

If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. However, withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal.

Where your data is sent
